Experiential Marketing Design

3D Rendering, Concept Design, Project Management

In 2025 I met with the senior leadership at my creative agency Cre@te to pitch a new trade show and exhibit design vertical for the organization. Building upon the team’s many years of experience designing and managing pop-up engagement spaces for a multinational beverage company, the goal of this proposal was to expand the agency’s business model and establish ourselves as a proven and trusted provider in experiential marketing services. As project manager for this new program, I collaborated with key stakeholders to draw out a business plan and scope of activities, and oversaw the program’s execution.

Our plans included creating an array of concept renderings, launching a new offshoot website Exop-At.com, and running lead generation campaigns that target organizations scheduled to exhibit at upcoming major trade shows in the United States. Working with a modest budget of under $10K, our team successfully produced all deliverables and launched our first campaign that same quarter. By the end of the next quarter, the initiative resulted in a 40% increase in revenue, and Cre@te had also secured a strategic partnership with Universal Exhibit Services (UES), a national exhibit vendor and hardware provider.

In addition to managing clients under this new vertical, I also serve as the lead 3D artist for all booth space designs. Below are some select examples of booth designs I have created both internally and for clients, including those executed by UES.

Eleceed / TOKYOPOP

This 20×20 booth was commissioned by TOKYOPOP, a manga publisher and distributor, for the 2026 Anime Expo in Los Angeles.

The original vision for this space was to be split between two entities: a side for TOKYOPOP to display and sell their products to attendees, and a side for their strategic partners MBC Group to promote their ventures in producing anime for the Middle East and North America markets. As the project progressed, the focus of the booth shifted to mainly promoting the upcoming premiere of the new anime series Eleceed, based on a Korean manga of the same name. In addition to rendering the 3D booth mockups and managing communications with TOKYOPOP reps throughout the project, I also laid out the designs for the wall graphics using artwork provided by Eleceed’s production team.

The team navigated through a number of challenges throughout the project, including a 14-hour time difference between the clients in Toyko, Japan and ourselves in Chicago, IL USA, as well as the expected language barrier and cultural differences. The Eleceed artwork also had to go through a multi-level committee approval process, which resulted in multiple design changes to the wall graphics and time constraints in the delivery schedule. Ultimately the exhibit was approved and delivered on time and within budget, with our partners at UES executing the booth setup at the show.

Instant.one

This 10×10 booth was commissioned by Instant.one, an e-commerce tech firm based in Sydney, Australia. The booth was originally commissioned to be exhibited at NRF 2026 in New York City.

Working with Instant’s reps, I designed an open and inviting display with a premium, professional feel that highlighted Instant’s brand through eye-catching colors and graphics. Leveraging Instant’s reserved corner space, the layout was built with open space in mind, inviting expo attendees to more freely pass through, giving Instant’s reps more opportunities for engagement.

With our partners at UES managing the booth’s construction and installation, we reviewed and worked within the strict guidelines of the venues and event organizers, ensuring our clients that the exhibit, its setup and its teardown were all in full compliance with local laws and union regulations. The booth aided in a successful showing at the NRF conference, and Instant continued to use the booth and UES’s services for additional shows in California and Las Vegas in the months that followed.

Mechan Controls

This 20×20 booth was commissioned by Mechan Controls, a UK-based heavy machine safety switch manufacturer, to be exhibited at Automate 2026 in Chicago, IL.

The original design pitched for this booth was to have a bumped-out back wall that doubled as a supply closet, as well as a 75” TV monitor and multiple table/chair sets for Mechan reps to have sit-down chats with expo attendees. The closet space and the TV were eventually eliminated from the final design plans in favor of a simple flat back wall with custom graphics, with resources put towards a 10’ hanging sign and multiple freestanding displays to showcase their products. Because the Automate show took place in Chicago where our partners UES are headquartered, we were able to offer the client a very attractive quote thanks to savings on shipping, travel and storage.

WilhelmAI

This 10×10 booth was commissioned by California-based medical imaging tech firm WilhelmAI for exhibition at the AHRA 2026 conference in Orlando, FL.

The goal for this booth was to produce a premium-looking exhibit that is low-cost, adaptable, and complimentary to WilhelmAI’s brand identity. The team and I aligned on a setup that included a turnkey backdrop kit and custom-branded table covers from a third-party vendor that the client’s team could assemble themselves onsite. I designed the key visual for the backdrop, utilizing photography of the Golden Gate bridge (a nod to the organization’s Bay Area roots) that allowed the company logo and tagline to visually pop against the dark background.

I worked directly with the firm's founder George Habash, ensuring clear communication and direction for the project resulting in quick turnaround times for mockups, revisions and orders. With hardware quality being a priority, I facilitated communications between the client and the vendor to chose the right setup, electing for a higher-quality modular silver frame kit for the backdrop. We also assisted in the production of giveaway items for the client's exhibit, including branded badge reels, MRI-shaped stress balls, and branded pens.

Little Health Law

This 10×10 booth was commissioned by Georgia-based healthcare law firm Little Health Law.

Our goal was to capture the confidence of a healthcare law firm while maintaining an inviting, human touch. The result combined clean simple design, approachable tones, and flexible components designed for adaptability. Each piece, from the hop-up backdrop to the vertical banner stand and table signage, was built to mix, match, and travel easily. To help drive engagement, we also incorporated a coffee station with branded cups and a giveaway call-to-action on the signage, showing how simple ideas can kindle genuine connections.

My team and I designed and produced the full booth setup from concept to delivery in only one week, with firm deadlines and clear communication with the clients keeping production smooth and on budget from start to finish.

OVRKill Technologies

These two booths, a 10×10 and a 30×20, are concept designs for OVRKill Technologies, one of Cre@te’s in-house proprietary brands. I created these 3D mockups as part of the agency’s experiential design vertical launch, to showcase our team’s capabilities in expo booth design. These mockups are featured on the agency’s sales decks as well as the Expo-At.com website.

OVRKill Technologies was conceived as a tech firm that develops applications and framework for virtual/augmented reality platforms, so the booths were designed to be eye-catching and inviting with a sleek modern-futuristic aesthetic in mind. Blue LED accent lights and backlit signage draw in visitors, while multiple product demo stations keep them engaged. Branding remains consistent across both the larger space and the smaller 10×10 booth, showing our adaptability in designing for any size space.

Turtle Rock Whiskey

These two booths, a 10×10 and a 30×20, are concept designs for Turtle Rock Whiskey, one of Cre@te’s in-house proprietary brands. I created these 3D mockups as part of the agency’s experiential design vertical launch, to showcase our team’s capabilities in expo booth design. These mockups are featured on the agency’s sales decks as well as the Expo-At.com website.

Turtle Rock Whiskey was conceived as a brand of whiskey produced in the state of Washington (where Cre@te was originally founded), created to reflect the agency’s many years of experience in creative marketing for the adult beverage industry. Our team crafted Turtle Rock Whiskey’s visual identity to be more rustic and conservative in tone, so I incorporated wood grains into the design of the booth to complement the brand, with a sampling bar incorporated in the space as well. Branding remains consistent across both the larger space and the smaller 10×10 booth, showing our adaptability in designing for any size space.
